At _the new dystopian_, we curate exceptional, design-forward products from makers and manufacturers around the world. Our shipping process reflects the care and craftsmanship of each piece, and we appreciate your patience as we bring these unique items to you.

 

Processing & Shipping Times

  • Standard Items (7–20 Business Days):
    Most of our products are shipped directly from our global network of artisans and manufacturers. Processing times vary by item, and shipping typically takes 7–20 business days from the date of your order. Some smaller items may ship faster from our local Melbourne stock.

  • Custom Order/Made-to-Order Furniture (8–14 Weeks):
    Our furniture pieces are crafted with precision and may require additional time. Shipping for these items is estimated at 8–14 weeks, as they are often made to order. You will receive a confirmation email with a more specific timeline once your order is placed.

  • Local Melbourne Stock (3–7 Business Days):
    Select items are held in our Melbourne warehouse and will ship within 3–7 business days.

Please note: All shipping times are estimates and commence from the date of your order confirmation. Delays may occur due to customs, weather, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

 

Shipping Costs & Delivery

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and the size/weight of your order.

  • We currently ship worldwide. For international orders, duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient.

  • If available, a tracking number will be provided via email once your order has shipped.  Depending on the supplier, tracking may not always be available.

Delays & Liability

While we strive to meet our estimated shipping windows, _the new dystopian_ is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Customs clearance or import regulations

  • Carrier delays (e.g., weather, logistical issues)

  • Force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest)

We will communicate any significant delays as soon as possible and work with our partners to resolve issues promptly.

Order Tracking & Support

Returns & Damages

  • If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please notify us within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence. We will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion.
